About Me:
Dr. Ezra Olatunde Ogundare is an Associate Professor of Paediatrics and Child Health at the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.
He attended Ibadan Municipal Government (IMG) Primary School and Government College Ibadan. He obtained his MBChB degree at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2001 and became a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians in 2010.
He worked as a Research Clinician for the Medical Research Council Unit, The Gambia between 2010 and 2012, after which he was employed as a Consultant Paediatrician at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti and a Lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti until date. He has served as the Sub-dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Medicine, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti previously.
He is an Examiner with the West African College of Physicians, a facilitator in the Doctors as Educators program; a Faculty Development program of the West African College of Physicians; He is the co-Chairman of the Ekiti State Steering Committee on Maternal, Perinatal and Child Death Surveillance and Response (MPCDSR) program.
He has over 60 peer-reviewed publications in local and international journals and some ongoing research work in Neonatology and Paediatric Infectious diseases.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Nigerian Society of Neonatal Medicine (NISOMN), the Nigerian Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (NISPID), the African Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (AfSPID), the Paediatric Association of Nigeria, and the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (EKSUTH branch).
Dr. E.O. Ogundare is an intelligent and intuitive yet humble man. His international experience puts him at an advantage to exhibit excellent leadership qualities. His ability to pay attention to details enables him to perform his duties with finesse. He is a man of integrity with a good work ethic and great passion.
The hard work notwithstanding, he strives to strike a fine balance between work and appropriate relaxation. His sense of humour eases off tension, creating a serene working environment for the staff of the establishment. His personality inspires positive thinking and assiduous striving to achieve set goals.
He is happily married to Mrs Mercy Ogundare and the marriage is blessed with children.
